Coronation Street star Ryan Prescott has called for more scenes between his character Ryan Connor and his on-screen family \u2013 Carla, Lisa and Betsy Connor-Swain.<\/p>\n

With Carla and Lisa being one of Corrie’s most popular couples, the blended family have quickly become one of the most loved on the Street, especially following Lisa and Carla’s wedding<\/a> earlier this year. As Carla’s nephew, Ryan has slotted into the family unit perfectly, alongside Lisa’s teenage daughter, Betsy.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Inside Soap<\/a>, Ryan expresses love for his family unit and shares ideas for scenes that the Connor-Swains could star in next.<\/p>\n

“We had ideas of Lisa and Carla coming in from a weekend away and me and Betsy having tinfoil hats on and having watched the series Ancient Aliens,” laughs Ryan. “Just mad ideas we thought would be really funny! <\/p>\n

“Or, doing a group Halloween and trying to scare each other. I think there\u2019s a lot more they can do with it and it\u2019s been very serious over the past 12 months in that house, so there\u2019s room for a bit of comic relief now.”
<\/p>\n

Most recently, Ryan supported teenage Betsy after she experienced two strokes<\/a>, resulting in her facing setbacks with her speech and mobility. Although Betsy and Ryan aren’t related biologically, Ryan enthuses that their relationship is that of a brother and sister.<\/p>\n

“Even though there\u2019s no blood relation, they\u2019ve fallen into those archetypes comfortably,” Ryan explains. “Ryan is used to having that feminine backdrop when it comes to family, to being the only lad in the house. <\/p>\n

“Carla\u2019s got this powerful, feminine energy, and obviously Lisa is an investigator. They\u2019re a power couple on the Street, and then Betsy\u2019s this bursting-with-life young woman who has gone through a lot of tough times in a short period. It\u2019s nice to be the dozy, lovable brother!”
