A new non-partisan poll shows Governor Gregg Abbott leading Democratic challenger Gina Hinojosa by just one point.<\/p>\n<p>If Hinojosa wins the race for governor, she will flip Texas blue for the first time since 1990 and become he first Hispanic governor in Texas history.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight the Hinojosa campaigned for votes in San Antonio ahead of the November election at the Antioch Sports and Community Complex.<\/p>\n<p>She shared her plan to help Texans keep up with the cost of living by giving each Texas household $1,500 from the state\u2019s rainy-day fun.<\/p>\n<p>The one-time rebate would cost the state $17 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Abbott\u2019s plan to win over voters is to make sweeping property tax cuts.
