{"id":1053803,"date":"2026-09-09T22:15:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T22:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1053803\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T22:15:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T22:15:15","slug":"houston-man-gets-10-years-after-puppy-was-hung-by-neck-in-animal-cruelty-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1053803\/","title":{"rendered":"Houston man gets 10 years after puppy was hung by neck in animal cruelty case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\"><strong>HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 A Houston man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to animal cruelty in a case involving an emaciated puppy that was hung by its neck, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Carrick Green, 44, was arrested in 2025 after deputies said he hung the 5-month-old mixed-breed puppy, named Jinx, in the air by a leash and collar around its neck.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">According to court records, Jinx was crying, yelping and struggling before becoming limp in about 45 seconds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The puppy also suffered internal injuries and a shattered femur due to the abuse.
