Social media users have mocked Donald Trump Jr after he shared an AI-generated image of his father in double denim amid the furor surrounding actor Sydney Sweeney\u2019s American Eagle campaign. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThat Hanse\u2026. Um, Donald is so hot right now!!!\u201d said Trump Jr on Instagram Tuesday night,<\/a> seemingly in a reference to the supermodel character played by Owen Wilson in the Zoolander movies, Hansel McDonald.<\/p>\n

The image shows the president lying down on the floor in a pair of jeans and a denim shirt, looking at the camera. <\/a><\/p>\n

It\u2019s an obvious reference to the controversial ad campaign put forward by American Eagl<\/a>e, <\/a>which has led to a debate about racism. The campaign shows Sweeney, 27, wearing the brand\u2019s denim, along with the words \u201cSydney Sweeney has great jeans\u201d \u2014 in what some say is a play on the words \u201cgood genes.\u201d<\/p>\n

American Eagle faced a litany of negative comments regarding the ad campaign, with activist Zellie Imani writing<\/a> on X that \u201cThe American Eagles [sic] ad wasn\u2019t just a commercial. It was a love letter to white nationalism and eugenic fantasies, and Sydney Sweeney knew it.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The pushback led to a backlash from conservatives, with Sen. Ted Cruz<\/a> of Texas<\/a> writing on X<\/a>, \u201cWow. Now the crazy Left has come out against beautiful women. I\u2019m sure that will poll well\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung called<\/a> it \u201ccancel culture run amok.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis warped, moronic, and dense liberal thinking is a big reason why Americans voted the way they did in 2024. They\u2019re tired of this bull****,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

American Eagle CEO Jay Schottenstein is part of a family dynasty that has previously faced reports of its public affection for the president. The family has long been members of the Mar-a-Lago<\/a> resort in Palm Beach<\/a>, Florida<\/a>, and reportedly has a personal relationship with Trump, The Daily Beast noted. <\/a><\/p>\n

Trump Jr\u2019s post received thousands of comments, with many making reference to the Epstein files.<\/p>\n
