Nothing has just announced its first Android 16 beta, with Phone (3) users able to test out Nothing OS 4.0 ahead of its release starting in the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n
Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, was first announced alongside the announcement of Phone (3) earlier this month. Now, we\u2019re getting more details on when it will debut.<\/p>\n
In a post on its community forums,<\/a> Nothing has announced a closed beta program for Android 16 on Phone (3). The update will deliver Nothing OS 4.0 on top of Google\u2019s own update, but it won\u2019t be available to everyone. Rather, Phone (3) owners can sign up via a form<\/a> to participate, and Nothing will reach out sometime in the first week of August for those selected to test the build.<\/p>\n What can users expect in this update? Nothing says:<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n In this build, we\u2019re focused on delivering Android 16\u2019s native features as well as implementing a more robust design system which will set the foundation for a more cohesive UI moving forward.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n So, for the time being, new features and changes are still on the vague side, but we won\u2019t have long to wait.
