Roughly 10% of the studio\u2019s workforce will be impacted, sources say. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe move comes as Warner Bros. Discovery, the studio\u2019s parent company, is preparing to split itself in two. The new publicly traded companies will be Warner Bros., which will include the film division as well as the TV studios and streaming operations, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/discovery-global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Discovery Global<\/a>, which will be comprised of TV networks, Discovery+ and other assets. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn a note to staff, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group heads <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/michael-de-luca\/\" id=\"auto-tag_michael-de-luca\" data-tag=\"michael-de-luca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael De Luca<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/pam-abdy\/\" id=\"auto-tag_pam-abdy\" data-tag=\"pam-abdy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pam Abdy<\/a> said the studio began an assessment of the studio\u2019s \u201ccurrent structure\u201d earlier in 2025. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe exploration led to important conversations and insights to better understand how we reach audiences, what fundamental shifts should be implemented as teams work together across the world to collectively engage today\u2019s moviegoers, and what the division needs to be successful,\u201d the pair wrote. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe note concluded with De Luca and Abdy writing, \u201cWe know news like this is never easy, and we are tremendously grateful to our departing team members whose contributions throughout their time at Warner Bros. Pictures has made a lasting impact on both of us, and so many of you.
