{"id":106009,"date":"2025-07-30T23:02:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T23:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/106009\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T23:02:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T23:02:08","slug":"collin-chandler-is-back-at-uk-basketball-practice-after-battling-minor-injury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/106009\/","title":{"rendered":"Collin Chandler is back at UK Basketball practice after battling minor injury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"G4aP4e\">After coming on strong late in his freshman season last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aseaofblue.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kentucky Wildcats<\/a> guard Collin Chandler is poised to build off that strong finish and parlay that into a strong second season with Mark Pope and the Wildcats.<\/p>\n<p id=\"KanTcN\">Kentucky head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/coach\/mark-pope-132332\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Pope<\/a> has talked multiple times this offseason about how his second-year players take \u201cmassive leaps.\u201d Pope expects to see that happen with Chandler.<\/p>\n<p id=\"8F5T9l\">However, that hit a bit of a speed bump recently, as Chandler missed some practice time while battling a minor injury. That caused him to miss the team\u2019s scrimmage against La Familia earlier this month, which Kentucky narrowly won in what was a defensive struggle.<\/p>\n<p id=\"bZ8rhE\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/kentucky-wildcats\/news\/collin-chandler-back-practice-after-dealing-minor-injury\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to KSR\u2019s Jack Pilgrim<\/a>, Chandler returned to practice on Tuesday after dealing with the undisclosed injury. <\/p>\n<p id=\"k3KhSE\">\u201cCollin Chandler has been out dealing with a little bit of a minor, minor, minor injury,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/TGHp6VSDU7A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pilgrim said on Tuesday night\u2019s episode of Sources Say<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m told he is back, actually returned back to practice today, so that\u2019s definitely a big positive. But wasn\u2019t a part of that scrimmage with La Familia and some of the practices leading up and the 5-on-5s in the days since, but is officially back. That\u2019s a great update.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"UEQVvu\">In eight games last March, including two in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sbnation.com\/sec-basketball-tournament\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Tournament<\/a> and three in the NCAA Tournament, Chandler averaged six points and 1.8 rebounds per game while going 12\/23 from 3-point range.
