{"id":106156,"date":"2025-07-31T00:20:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T00:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/106156\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T00:20:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T00:20:09","slug":"dazn-inks-global-streaming-deal-with-nhl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/106156\/","title":{"rendered":"DAZN inks global streaming deal with NHL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sports streaming service DAZN is making a play for the global hockey audience.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/07\/30\/nhl-signs-streaming-deal-with-dazn-for-intl-growth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a report by Mollie Cahillane in Sports Business Journal<\/a>, DAZN has reached a deal with the NHL to be the global home of NHL.tv, the service that grants international fans access to all of the league\u2019s games. The service will be available as a standalone subscription or add-on package in almost 200 countries, not including the United States, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway, or Sweden \u2014 countries which already have active NHL media deals.<\/p>\n<p>DAZN has inked similar global streaming deals for American sports leagues in the past. The streamer is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/international\/dazn-zander-berlinski-nfl-game-pass.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the home of NFL Game Pass<\/a>, which allows international viewers to access NFL broadcasts, and PGA Tour Pass, which provides similar access to the international audience.<\/p>\n<p>Per SBJ, certain live games will be blacked out in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Those games will be available on demand when the game is over.<\/p>\n<p>While DAZN has not generally focused on hockey, the streamer has held broadcast rights for Austria\u2019s pro league and the KHL in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The streaming service continues to consolidate live sports rights globally, having recently concluded its global presentation of the FIFA Club World Cup.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sports streaming service DAZN is making a play for the global hockey audience.
