The Bruins need a new captain for the upcoming season. Also, with almost nothing happening around the league, the focus shifts to jerseys for the upcoming season. Are the Devils changing their threads? And more importantly, are the Avalanche bringing back the classic Quebec Nordiques sweater?<\/p>\n

Colorado Hockey Now<\/p>\n

You know it\u2019s the dead part of the offseason when sweaters are the talk of the town. Adrian, Dater, who helped started Colorado Hockey Now six years ago, reported earlier in the week that he believes the Avalanche are bringing back the Quebec Nordiques jerseys for their 30th anniversary season.<\/p>\n

Remember those beautiful burgundy versions of the classic sweater that were used as a reverse retro? Dater says this time it\u2019ll be blue.<\/p>\n

I honestly don\u2019t know how I feel about this. On one hand, I have no issue with celebrating the team that relocated to Denver and, quite frankly, one of the best jerseys in NHL history. It\u2019ll sell out for sure. But on the other hand, I\u2019d love to see the Avs celebrate their 30 years in Colorado. They have a lot to be proud of \u2014 and that includes jerseys. I, for one, would love to see the burgundy \u2018Colorado\u2019 word mark jerseys from the early 2000s make a return. Seeing Peter Forsberg, Joe Sakic, and Patrick Roy rock those back in the first golden era was something special. It would be really cool to see Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Gabe Landeskog wearing them this time around.<\/p>\n
