{"id":107178,"date":"2025-07-31T09:19:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T09:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/107178\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T09:19:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T09:19:09","slug":"pa-among-top-20-best-states-for-health-care-report-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/107178\/","title":{"rendered":"Pa. among top 20 best states for health care, report says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HYDEPVH6QJFODGIBQGTTSRZ6FY\">A new report has listed the best and worst states <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennlive.com\/health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">for health care<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"BBVBUJHOAZDSJMCAXCB6UCSNC4\">Fortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennlive.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pennsylvania<\/a> ranked amongst the top 20 best. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZHK3HS5MXVDHBDKSMQXNR34D4M\">According to the report \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/wallethub.com\/edu\/states-with-best-health-care\/23457\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">as published by WalletHub<\/a> \u2014 the Keystone State is the 13th best overall in this regard. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"AKGKA6IF3VB3JECGG4OUMUMNWM\">Pennsylvania\u2019s ranking \u2014 along with those of the other states and Washington D.C. \u2014 was determined after WalletHub researchers assessed areas across three main categories: \u201cCost,\u201d \u201cAccess,\u201d and \u201cOutcomes.\u201d Various sub-metrics including \u201cCost of Medical Visit\u201d as well as \u201cQuality of Public Hospital System\u201d were also accounted for.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"U2DJRN7PO5CR5K6BWRAN7V5WYQ\">Pennsylvania\u2019s best category was \u201cCost,\u201d under which it ranked sixth overall. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KIWRTUZXZVHE3EKF4KXV5ECNZM\">On the whole, though, it was New Hampshire that topped the list as having the very best health care system overall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"26C76CZNY5EABFE2DX3BJTGVIM\">\u201cNew Hampshire is the best state for health care, with the fourth-lowest out-of-pocket medical spending in the country,\u201d the report reads. \u201cResidents also have the lowest average monthly health insurance premium, at around $470.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VIOD5KLCBJCYLGV3VWWDUR5BAQ\">\u2018The Granite State has the fifth-highest nurses per capita and sixth-highest physician assistants per capita, a testament to the strength of its frontline healthcare workforce. People with immediate but less dire issues can also benefit from the fact that New Hampshire has the most urgent care centers per capita that are certified by the Urgent Care Association of America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"4PYXMGI22BG6FBC3UMZOJTSA3Q\">The state with the worst health care in the U.S. was found to be Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"H6TJP4666RETTEPDOW2LJMQRF4\">\u201cHealth care has two crucial components: cost and quality,\u201d says WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo. \u201cThe best health care in the nation isn\u2019t helpful if it bankrupts the people who try to get it, and cheap health care isn\u2019t worth paying for if it provides subpar or ineffective treatment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QL3JNKEMUNGCFBSITD57DTWWDA\">\u201cTherefore, the best states for health care are those that make high-quality care affordable, on top of providing many options for doctors and making insurance easily accessible.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
