R<\/b>ELATED:<\/b> KPRC 2 Chief Meteorologist breaks down the heat index<\/a><\/p>\n After another scorcher, Houston officially tallied its second 100-degree day of the year. But here\u2019s some good news for those tired of the heat: that triple-digit streak isn\u2019t likely to stick around. Temperatures are forecast to dip out of the 100s, with relief on the way thanks to an expected uptick in rain and thunderstorm activity.<\/p>\n Thursday forecast:<\/b><\/p>\n A boundary is forecast to make its way into southeast Texas, bringing with it showers and thunderstorms over the next several days. This front isn\u2019t the kind that sweeps in with cool, refreshing air\u2014rather, it\u2019s expected to stall across our area. That means more rounds of rain are likely, starting as early as Thursday morning with spotty showers and storms.<\/p>\n By Thursday night, showers are forecast to linger mainly south of Interstate 10. Heading into Friday and Saturday, the chance for rain bubbles north, with places like Trinity County, Brazos, and even Brenham expecting wet weather.
