The South Africa-based grilled chicken restaurant has opened its third Houston-area outpost for lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the historic Tower Theater complex at 1201 Westheimer, the new Nando\u2019s follows the same formula as the restaurant\u2019s existing Houston-area locations in <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/nandos-peri-peri-houston-uptown-opening-date\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Uptown<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/nandos-peri-peri-chicken-katy-open\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Katy<\/a>. It serves the Nando\u2019s signature chicken, which is marinated for 24 hours in peri-peri and other spices.<\/p>\n<p>Diners may order their chicken as bowls made with Portuguese rice and vegetables; the Nandocas Choice, a butterflied chicken breast served over garlic bread with coleslaw; a half-chicken with fries; as well as skewers, salads, and wraps. Different spice levels cater to diners\u2019 tolerance for heat.<\/p>\n<p>As it does for all of its locations, Nando\u2019s filled the interior with artwork sourced from the company\u2019s Creative Block program in partnership with the Spier Arts Trust. Look for a textural installation above the bar, a striking South African mural near the entrance, and eye-catching furniture.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The love Houston has shown us has been incredible, so opening a third Nando\u2019s here felt like the natural next step in our growth,&#8221; said Nando\u2019s CEO Kimberly Grant. &#8220;Montrose has that perfect mix of culture, energy, and soul \u2014 and setting up a beautifully designed space in the iconic Tower Theater block just felt right. We\u2019re fired up to bring our flame-grilled peri-peri chicken to one of the most vibrant corners of Houston.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Houston developer Radom Capital <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/news\/real-estate\/1111-westheimer-tower-theater-radom-capital\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">purchased the Tower Theater<\/a> complex and adjacent properties at 1111 Westheimer in 2024. The theater, once home to restaurants such as El Real Tex-Mex Cafe and Acme Oyster Co., will house <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/docs_houston\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Doc Houston\u2019s<\/a>, a jazz club from the <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/news\/entertainment\/jazz-club-tower-theatre-houston\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">owners of San Antonio\u2019s Jazz, TX<\/a>, that\u2019s expected to open in late 2025.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The wait is over for the Montrose location of Nando\u2019s Peri-Peri.
