They\u2019re providing much-needed one-on-one support so if you\u2019d like to help them ensure there\u2019ll be someone there sitting round the kitchen table with farmers and growers over the coming months, visit the Top of the South Rural Support Trust\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Givealittle<\/a> or donate directly using the following bank details: Top of the South Rural Support Trust, account 03 0751 0266192 00.<\/p>\n Update for farmers on Waikato PC1 process<\/p>\n B+LNZ is still involved in a joint Environment Court case with Federated Farmers on Waikato Regional Council (WRC) Plan Change 1. The latest part of this process, consultation with WRC on limited parts of the interim decision that remained unresolved, was completed last week with comprehensive feedback sent to WRC. We\u2019d like to thank the farmers involved for the huge amount of input they provided. It\u2019s critical that B+LNZ remains involved in this process to its conclusion to ensure the rules are workable. We\u2019re encouraging WRC to think about implementation, with a focus on WRC creating farmer-focused guidance documents. We\u2019ll continue to keep farmers updated.<\/p>\n Facial eczema webinar: insights from the Sheep Poo Study<\/p>\n The B+LNZ team behind the Sheep Poo Study, part of the Eliminating Facial Eczema Impacts (EFEI) programme, is hosting a webinar from 12\u20131pm on Friday 22 August. This is open to all farmers. Join Dr Cara Brosnahan and Dr Ginny Dodunski from Wormwise as they share the latest findings from last year\u2019s study, provide an update on the programme, and answer your questions about facial eczema.\u00a0Register online<\/a>.<\/p>\n B+LNZ releases sector updates<\/p>\n B+LNZ and MIA have released the latest Red Meat Report<\/a> which is available to read on the B+LNZ website. This joint publication is a bi-annual update on key areas of work and initiatives within NZ\u2019s red meat sector, including trade, environment, innovation, research, and people and training.\u00a0This week we also emailed farmers with a quarterly snapshot<\/a> of B+LNZ work funded by farmer levies that\u2019s currently underway.\u00a0<\/p>\n Wairarapa Livestock Parasite Management Group Field Day<\/p>\n B+LNZ is hosting a farmer-led field day in the Wairarapa on Tuesday 2 September, from 11am\u20134pm, focused on internal parasite control. Hear what the pilot group of the Livestock Parasite Management focus group learnt through three years of farm-based research, gain practical insights from farmers managing worms, and discover new approaches like DAGI.
