Hulk Hogan\u2019s official cause of death has been revealed.<\/p>\n
Page Six can exclusively confirm that the pro wrestling legend died from acute myocardial infarction \u2014 commonly known as a heart attack \u2014 which is when blood flow to the heart muscle is suddenly blocked, causing tissue damage, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center.<\/p>\n
The documents obtained by Page Six also show Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.<\/p>\n
Per the records, the former WWE superstar also had a history of leukemia CLL<\/a>, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.<\/p>\n Hulk Hogan\u2019s official cause of death has been revealed. The Pinellas County Forensic Science Center provided the latest updates in a cremation summary approval report.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the medical examiner\u2019s office tells Page Six, \u201cI am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we received a request for cremation approval.\u201d<\/p>\n On July 24, Hogan went into cardiac arrest<\/a> at his home in Clearwater, Fla., and was transported via ambulance to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage. None of those rumors are true.\u201d<\/p>\n She then explained that Hogan had been \u201crecovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusin (ACDF), which is an intense surgery with a long and layered healing process.\u201d<\/p>\n The fitness trainer concluded at the time, \u201cHe\u2019s healing and we\u2019re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience.\u201d<\/p>\n Hogan\u2019s loved ones shut down speculation that he was severely ill leading up to his death. Last night at karaoke with Nick [Hogan] was absolutely fantastic, baby!!!\u201d<\/p>\n Since Hogan\u2019s passing, his loved ones have issued public statements over the devastating loss.<\/p>\n Daily, 46, wrote via Instagram on July 25 that her heart was \u201cin pieces,\u201d<\/a> adding, \u201cThis loss is sudden and impossible to process.\u201d<\/p>\n Hogan\u2019s son, Nick Hogan, also paid a tribute to his \u201cbest friend\u201d <\/a>via Instagram and wrote in part alongside a carousel of throwback photos, \u201cThis has been overwhelming and extremely difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cHogan Knows Best\u201d alum was also present for the WWE\u2019s televised memorial <\/a>during \u201cMonday Night Raw,\u201d and was seen visibly moved by the occassion.<\/p>\n Hogan\u2019s loved ones have shared several public tributes to the wrestling icon after his death.
