And now there\u2019s an additional cause for concern: The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascarchicago.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">2025 NASCAR Chicago Street Race<\/a> will return to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/chicago\/attractions\/grant-park-chicago-il\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grant Park<\/a>\u00a0for its third edition on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, which means street closures will be in full effect ahead of the event throughout the Loop for vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It\u2019s one thing if you\u2019re planning on attending the festivities (including the headlining performance from the Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band) and it\u2019s another if you\u2019re just trying to get to work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/chicago\/news\/you-can-eat-a-tasting-menu-right-on-the-nascar-chicago-race-track-this-summer-061125\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">You can eat a tasting menu right on the NASCAR Chicago race track this summer<br \/><\/a><\/strong><br \/>Having kicked off on\u00a0June 19, closures will\u00a0commence in phases with Balbo Drive between Columbus Drive and DuSable Lake Shore Drive shutting down, followed by Ida B. Wells Drive, Congress Plaza Drive, and Michigan Avenue. By race weekend on July 5 and 6, you can expect all roads around Grant Park to be off-limits to vehicular traffic, including:<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>DuSable Lake Shore Drive between McFetridge Drive and Randolph Street.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Northbound Michigan Avenue between Roosevelt Road and Monroe Street.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Southbound Michigan Avenue between Monroe Street to 8th\u00a0Street.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Monroe Street from Michigan Avenue to DuSable Lake Shore Drive.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Columbus Drive from Roosevelt Road to Monroe Street.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Roosevelt Road from DuSable Lake Shore Drive to Michigan Avenue.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Jackson Drive from Michigan Avenue to DuSable Lake Shore Drive.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Ida B.
