We knew DJI had a hard time<\/a> importing its drones into the United States to the point that many shelves have gone bare<\/a>, but it\u2019s not just drones anymore. Today marks the first time it\u2019s formally skipping the US with a non-drone product, its 8K Osmo 360 camera<\/a> \u2014 and it\u2019s not clear if it will ever officially stock it here, DJI confirms to The Verge.<\/p>\n

B&H and Adorama are already taking pre-orders for both the $549.99 Osmo 360 and its $699.99 \u201cAdventure Combo,\u201d as well as an exhaustive range of accessories:<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re interested, you might also try to call: last time, I found Adorama taking phone orders for models that were already in stock but not yet listed as such on the website.<\/p>\n

DJI never explained to us<\/a> how the Mavic 4 Pro had a limited release at retailers, or whether it would honor its warranty on those sales, so we\u2019re not expecting answers here either. But we did ask the company why it decided not to officially launch the Osmo 360 here, and a spokesperson would not say.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are multiple reasons behind why the Osmo 360 will not be available through DJI officially in the U.S. We do not have a timeline on when or if this will be available, but we will keep you posted if there are any updates,\u201d Regina Lin tells The Verge.<\/p>\n
