{"id":108963,"date":"2025-08-01T01:09:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T01:09:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/108963\/"},"modified":"2025-08-01T01:09:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T01:09:14","slug":"amon-carter-museum-invites-artists-in-fort-worth-area-to-curate-programs-workshops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/108963\/","title":{"rendered":"Amon Carter Museum invites artists in Fort Worth area to curate programs, workshops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Are you a North Texas artist eager to plan, create and lead unique programs in Fort Worth?<\/p>\n<p>The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cartermuseum.org\/about\/carter-community\/carter-community-artists\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accepting applications starting Aug. 1<\/a> for next year\u2019s community initiative that invites four selected artists to collaborate with the museum on a variety of projects, including public murals, student tours, workshops and events.<\/p>\n<p>The Carter Community Artists launched in 2018 as the museum sought to advance its events, connect with practicing artists and build a network among local creatives across different disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>The number of applications varies each year, but the museum typically receives strong interest from diverse artists across North Texas, including from Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton, Arlington, Irving and Grand Prairie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Selected artists contribute between 20 and 40 hours over the course of a year as they make connections to the museum\u2019s expansive collection, exhibitions and history.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Carter Community Artists have added insight, creativity and enhanced engagement not only within the museum but also in our community,\u201d executive director Andrew Walker said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Applications are open through Sept. 8.
