{"id":109311,"date":"2025-08-01T04:13:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T04:13:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/109311\/"},"modified":"2025-08-01T04:13:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T04:13:09","slug":"barcelona-do-not-need-to-return-to-11-fair-play-rule-in-order-to-register-new-signings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/109311\/","title":{"rendered":"Barcelona do not need to return to 1:1 Fair Play rule in order to register new signings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There has been a lot of chatter lately surrounding Barcelona and their ongoing problem of not being able to register two new signings, Marcus Rashford and Joan Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>The club are yet to return to 1:1 and won\u2019t do so unless they find fresh sources of revenue, which has become quite tricky without fresh sales.<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona can still register under current conditions<\/p>\n<p>However, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundodeportivo.com\/futbol\/fc-barcelona\/20250731\/1002508604\/barca-1-1-inscribir.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mundo Deportivo<\/a>, the club can proceed with new registrations based on the salary margin they continue to generate, even without reaching the 1:1 rule.<\/p>\n<p>At present, Bar\u00e7a have already created a Fair Play margin of around \u20ac22 million from outgoing players like Pablo Torre, Pau Victor, Ansu Fati, and Clement Lenglet. <\/p>\n<p>Added to that is another \u20ac10 million from the club\u2019s new four-year sponsorship deal with Congo, which totals \u20ac40 million but must still be validated by LaLiga.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fc-barcelona-unveil-new-head-coach-hansi-flick-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"joan laporta\" class=\"wp-image-172910\"  \/>Laporta must find answers quickly (Photo by Eric Alonso\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>The Ter Stegen and Garcia factor<\/p>\n<p>As far as Joan Garcia\u2019s registration is concerned, it hinges on Marc-Andre ter Stegen\u2019s injury status. <\/p>\n<p>If he\u2019s ruled out for at least five months, Barcelona can use 80% of the player\u2019s wages for a replacement. <\/p>\n<p>But if it\u2019s only four months, <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-can-only-use-50-of-ter-stegens-salary-to-register-new-player-risk-further-penalties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">that figure drops to 50%<\/a>, thereby tightening the space for Garcia\u2019s registration.<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona are working toward closing a \u20ac100 million gap in their Fair Play accounts.
