{"id":109482,"date":"2025-08-01T05:47:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T05:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/109482\/"},"modified":"2025-08-01T05:47:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T05:47:12","slug":"missing-lizard-spotted-in-douglas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/109482\/","title":{"rendered":"Missing lizard spotted in Douglas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(WJAR)  \u2014 Massachusetts Environmental Police said the missing lizard was spotting in Douglas. <\/p>\n<p>Officials said the water monitor was seen on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>After getting the report, officers responded to the scene but they could not find the reptile.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are working closely with reptile experts, Rain Forest Reptiles, to help us locate and capture the animal,&#8221; Massachusetts Environmental Police said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who spots the water monitor is asked to call Massachusetts Environmental Police.<\/p>\n<p>The water monitor first went missing out of a Webster home earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>It was then spotted in Thompston, Connecticut, last week.<\/p>\n<p>Environmental police remind residents to not approach the water monitor if spotted.<\/p>\n<p>It may associate humans with food and could approach, according to officials. <\/p>\n<p>Authorities also warned residents to keep pets and children away from brush, woodpiles, water edges and other potential hiding spots for the reptile.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"(WJAR) \u2014 Massachusetts Environmental Police said the missing lizard was spotting in Douglas.
