BREVARD COUNTY, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 NASA<\/a> and SpaceX<\/a> will try again Friday to launch the Crew-11<\/a> mission from Kennedy Space Center<\/a> in Florida following a weather-related scrub<\/a> the day prior.<\/p>\n

The space agency said later in the afternoon Thursday that its mission teams had completed a weather review for the upcoming opportunity, which is currently set for 11:43 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1.<\/p>\n

That latest review calls for a 75% chance that weather conditions are favorable at launch time, according to NASA, which added a backup opportunity will occur at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, if needed.<\/p>\n

Mission teams completed a weather review for the next opportunity, and conditions around the launch pad are forecast at 75% favorable for liftoff. However, conditions along the flight path of Dragon remain a watch item. Acceptable weather conditions at both the launch site and along the Dragon flight path are required for a \u201cgo\u201d for liftoff.<\/p>\n

Launch is targeted for 11:43 a.m. ET, with a backup opportunity available on Saturday, August 2 at 11:21 a.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Just like members who made up Crew-10<\/a>, the team consists of two NASA astronauts, a JAXA astronaut and a Roscosmos cosmonaut.<\/p>\n

Crew-11 marks the 11th crew rotation mission of SpaceX\u2019s human space transportation system and its 12th flight with astronauts, including the Demo-2 test flight, to the space station through NASA\u2019s Commercial Crew Program.<\/p>\n
