COLUMBUS, Ohio \u2014 Ohio State<\/a> football\u2019s Eddrick Houston<\/a> went down during Thursday\u2019s practice with an apparent right leg injury.<\/p>\n

Luckily for the Buckeyes, the injury does not appear to be a long-term concern, according to a report from ESPN\u2019s Pete Thamel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe early results are that it\u2019s not considered serious,\u201d Thamel reported on X (formerly Twitter). <\/p>\n

Houston is entering his sophomore season and is expected to be a starter at defensive tackle.<\/p>\n

While there\u2019s always concern when a projected starter goes down, Houston\u2019s situation felt amplified because of the position he plays. <\/p>\n

Coach Ryan Day<\/a> has expressed concerns about the Buckeyes\u2019 depth at defensive tackle throughout the offseason. Behind Houston and Kayden McDonald, it\u2019s unclear who will surface as a viable option between Tywone Malone, <\/b>Jason Moore and Will Smith Jr. <\/p>\n

Ohio State practiced without pads on Thursday \u2014 which will remain the case Friday and Saturday. Both practices will be open to the fans, as was Thursday\u2019s. <\/p>\n
