(Yuki Iwamura\/Bloomberg via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Producing full-bodied, low-carb beers can be difficult, but the challenge has inspired innovation, Katherine Benecke, a cicerone at Treadwell Park in New York City, told Fox News Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Brewers are moving beyond the old &#8216;light&#8217; stereotype to craft bold, flavorful brews that keep carbs and glycemic impact low,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pull-quote\">\n<p class=\"quote-text\">&#8220;They help reduce blood sugar spikes so you can maintain more sustainable energy levels.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When made well, low-carb beers can be good for anyone, Benecke added, regardless of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health needs.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They help reduce blood sugar spikes so you can maintain more sustainable energy levels, can aid in digestion and are just generally <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/health\/digestive-health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">easier on the gut<\/a> and on the palate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/food-drink\/tequila-good-you-expert-reveals-what-makes-reasonable-choice-drinkers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IS TEQUILA GOOD FOR YOU?
