The 13-game nonconference schedule features eight home contests, a matchup against Providence as part of the 2025 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Series, three games in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas, and a road test against South Carolina in the ACC\/SEC challenge.<\/p>\n

New this year, the Hokies will play a home exhibition vs. Duquesne on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. The matchup will be one day after Tech football squares off with Cal in Lane Stadium. Tech’s exhibition vs. Duquesne will follow the same pricing structure for regular-season nonconference games<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Virginia Tech will commence its 118th season Monday, November 3, as the Hokies host Charleston Southern in Cassell Coliseum for their season opener.<\/p>\n

The Hokies hit the road to Uncasville, Connecticut, for a neutral-site matchup against Providence on Nov. 8, part of the 2025 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Series at Mohegan Sun Arena.<\/p>\n

Tech will then return to Blacksburg for a brief stretch, hosting Saint Joseph\u2019s (Nov. 12), Charlotte (Nov. 16), and Bryant (Nov. 19).<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving week, the Hokies will trade Blacksburg for the beaches of Paradise Island, heading to the Bahamas for the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis (Nov. 26-28), one of college basketball\u2019s premier early-season tournaments.<\/p>\n

Virginia Tech will kick off the month of December by traveling to South Carolina for the ACC\/SEC Challenge (Dec. 2), before returning home to host George Mason (Dec. 6), Western Carolina (Dec. 11), Maryland Eastern Shore (Dec. 14) and Elon (Dec. 20), concluding nonconference play.<\/p>\n
