{"id":110594,"date":"2025-08-01T15:36:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T15:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/110594\/"},"modified":"2025-08-01T15:36:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T15:36:09","slug":"7-suspects-arrested-after-50000-worth-of-booze-stolen-in-string-of-lcbo-thefts-durham-police-cp24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/110594\/","title":{"rendered":"7 suspects arrested after $50,000 worth of booze stolen in string of LCBO thefts: Durham police \u2013 CP24"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Durham Regional Police say they have arrested seven people and laid more than 300 charges in connection with a string of thefts targeting LCBO stores. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The police service began an investigation in July into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drps.ca\/news\/seven-arrested-and-more-than-300-charges-laid-in-theft-investigation\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">high volume of retail theft at LCBO locations<\/a> in Durham region, the force said in a news release Friday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe project, working closely in connection with the LCBO Resource Protection Unit, focused on larger scale theft rings where the suspects were repeat offenders,\u201d police said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/11230188-durham-regional-police-service.azurewebsites.net\/media\/i2yoz34t\/retail-thefts-charge-list.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">seven people charged<\/a> range from 32 to 51 years old. One of the suspects is facing 126 charges, including 78 counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
