Now, Bill Gates is sounding the alarm: It could all happen so fast, workers won\u2019t even have time to catch up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe question is, has it come so fast that you don\u2019t have time to adjust to it?\u201d Bill Gates just said in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ny-qhl4N9dY&amp;t=238s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ny-qhl4N9dY&amp;t=238s\" class=\"sc-19cc8fd2-0 iHosVH\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Microsoft cofounder noted that AI is already capable of taking over administrative roles like telesales, but it\u2019s still falling short when it comes to more complex tasks\u2014and even he\u2019s dumbfounded by just how quickly it\u2019s closing the gap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s improving at a rate that surprises me,\u201d the tech pioneer, worth <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/billionaires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/billionaires\/\" class=\"sc-19cc8fd2-0 iHosVH\"><strong>$122<\/strong><\/a> billion, said in the interview, while pointing to its deep research capability as an example.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA few times a day, I take some complex question, and just for fun, I see AI does an awfully good job gathering all the materials, and summarizing what I need to know.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In just a few years, the technology has gone from writing emails to generating functional code. That\u2019s why no one can pin down when exactly the tipping point will come, Gates added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI today can replace human work, the most complex coding tasks, [but] it\u2019s not able to do [it] yet.
