A further search of the area around a walking trail in Port Lincoln has uncovered several items believed to be connected to the alleged murder of local man Julian Story. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Police, a cadaver dog and the SES searched the area around the Parnkalla Trail on Friday and located several items, which have been sent off to be forensically tested.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The announcement came just a day after police announced a civilian had found what is believed to be Mr Story’s missing head<\/a> in scrubland around the same trail.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said he understood a member of the public was walking their dog when it ran into the scrub and was unable to be recalled.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The person followed their dog into the scrub and located what is believed to be Mr Story’s skull.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just last week, police had called off their search for Mr Story’s remains<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police allege Mr Story was murdered by his partner, Tamika Chesser<\/a>, sometime around midnight on June 17.<\/p>\n

Emergency services discovered the 39-year-old’s body in a unit shared by the couple on the Flinders Highway on June 19.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A week later, police launched a public appeal to help with the search for his missing remains.<\/p>\n

Ms Chesser was a contestant on reality television show Beauty and the Geek in 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She appeared in court last month via video link from psychiatric facility James Nash House.<\/p>\n

SA Police thanked members of the Port Lincoln community who had provided information that helped the investigation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
