Another movie that filmed on location in the Portland area is heading to screens, and this one comes with advance critical praise and awards<\/a>. \u201cTwinless\u201d<\/a> filmed locally in 2024, and made its premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.<\/a><\/p>\n

Critics were enthusiastic, and audiences were too, as \u201cTwinless\u201d went on to win the Sundance audience award for a U.S. dramatic film. One of its stars, Dylan O\u2019Brien, was also honored with the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for acting.<\/a><\/p>\n

The movie\u2019s official trailer has just been released, and it\u2019s also been announced that \u201cTwinless\u201d will open in theaters on Sept. 5.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwinless\u201d is written and directed by James Sweeney, who also costars. <\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien, who has previously appeared in the \u201cTeen Wolf\u201d TV series and \u201cThe Maze Runner\u201d movie trilogy, plays dual roles as twins.<\/p>\n

As the movie\u2019s logline says, \u201cIn \u2018Twinless,\u2019 two young men meet in a twin support group and form an unlikely friendship. Roman (Dylan O\u2019Brien) and Dennis (James Sweeney) both search for solace and an identity without their other halves and soon become inseparable outside the group. But when Roman meets Dennis\u2019 ebullient co-worker, Marcie (Aisling Franciosi), all is revealed to be not what it seems, as each man harbors secrets that could unravel everything.\u201d<\/p>\n
