{"id":111040,"date":"2025-08-01T19:27:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T19:27:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/111040\/"},"modified":"2025-08-01T19:27:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T19:27:14","slug":"carlos-alcaraz-states-what-he-does-not-want-tennis-fans-to-say-about-him-any-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/111040\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlos Alcaraz states what he does not want tennis fans to say about him any more"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Carlos Alcaraz is well on his way to becoming one of the greatest tennis players of all time, with five Grand Slam titles to his name already, at the age of just 22. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wimbledon<\/a> this year, the Spaniard had never lost in a major final, emerging victorious in five consecutive championship matches from 2022 to 2025 before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/jannik-sinner-responds-to-carlos-alcarazs-message-on-instagram-after-winning-their-wimbledon-final\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alcaraz lost to Jannik Sinner<\/a> at the All England Club. <\/p>\n<p>He has already tallied a quarter of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/roger-federer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Roger Federer<\/a>\u2018s Grand Slam total, and could very well surpass the Swiss legend, as well as his old rivals, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/rafael-nadal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rafael Nadal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Novak Djokovic<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The idea of emulating the success of the \u2018big three\u2019 is one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alcaraz<\/a> chooses not to pay too much thought to, however. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"668\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2219515476-1024x668.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Alcaraz of Spain shows his dejection against Jannik Sinner of Italy during the Men's Singles Final match on Day Fifteen of the 2025 French Open at Roland Garros.\" class=\"wp-image-113832\" \/>Photo by Clive Brunskill\/Getty ImagesCarlos Alcaraz says he tries not to think about the pressure on him<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/c904a7d4-272e-4b06-a03d-62c8ac644663\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Financial Times<\/a>, the world number two said: \u201cTennis has always had great rivalries and great players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a privilege that people look at our games that way, with such enthusiasm, but in the end we have no obligation to do what they have done, far from it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t stay strong in your ideals, in what you want, that pressure can eat you. You have to know how to differentiate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe try not to think about any pressure, and least of all about doing what they did.
