(File photo courtesy of the company)<\/p>\n<p>The crew of a Mexico-bound flight made a safe emergency landing at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.san.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Diego International Airport<\/a> Friday soon after departure from the airport.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the landing followed a possible bird strike.<\/p>\n<p>The Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900, which had taken off en route to Los Cabos, returned to the airport shortly after 1 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>The FAA was investigating, said Steve Kulm, a spokesperson for the agency<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An Alaska Airlines jet on the tarmac.
