A new night market, with local artisans and food vendors, will be running every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Aug. 14 to Sept. 18.<\/p>\n
A new six-week market series hosting local artisans and food vendors is coming to Santa Cruz every Thursday evening starting later this month.<\/p>\n
The event series, Sunset Market<\/a>, will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Aug. 14 to Sept. 18. It is being hosted by the Downtown Association of Santa Cruz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the economic health of downtown Santa Cruz.<\/p>\n The markets will be located in the heart of downtown, at Lot 16 and Church Street, between Cedar and Center streets.\u00a0<\/p>\n Local cafes and restaurants, such as Dani O Bakeshop, Melrose Cafe, Mariposa Coffee Bar, and Shaka\u2019s Chicken & Waffles, will be among the many food vendors. Local brewers, including Sante Adarius and Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, along with winery Birichino, will also participate.<\/p>\n Each evening will feature performances by local entertainers, including Fire Peach, Surf City Line Dancing, and Papiba & Friends, along with free activities and other non-food and drink vendors.<\/p>\n This event series is sponsored by the Economic Development Department of the City of Santa Cruz, West Coast County Bank, and realtor Loren Morse.\u00a0<\/p>\n Local businesses and vendors can sign up until space runs out at the vendor registration site<\/a>.<\/p>\n
