(WSMV) &#8211; With the stretch of dangerous heat this week, it\u2019s imperative that you stay hydrated and limit your time outdoors, especially if you\u2019re taking certain medications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Some doctors have warned that the heat heightens the side effects of many common medications.<\/p>\n<p>First Alert Weather Days issued due to extreme heat<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said some medications can interfere with your body\u2019s ability to regulate temperature, making it harder to cool down and increase sun sensitivity to the skin. It can also make a person more vulnerable to heat by affecting the body\u2019s hydration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Here are eight types of medications that don\u2019t mix well with heat, according to AARP:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>Heart medications (ex. water pills, Lasix,Microzide)<\/li>\n<li>Antidepressants (ex. Lexapro, Prozac, Zoloft)<\/li>\n<li>Antipsychotics (ex. Risperdal, Zyprexa)<\/li>\n<li>Central nervous system stimulants (ex. Adderall, Ritalin)<\/li>\n<li>Anticholinergics (ex. Cogentin, Detrol)<\/li>\n<li>Antihistamines (ex.Benadryl)<\/li>\n<li>Decongestants (ex. Sudafed, Afrin, Mucinex, and Zicam)<\/li>\n<li>Dopaminergics (ex. Claritin, Zyrtec)<\/li>\n<li>Statin cholesterol medications (ex. Zocor, Mevacor, Pravachol)<\/li>\n<li>Diabetes medications (ex.
