He featured just 12 times in Barcelona\u2019s La Liga-winning campaign, making 25 appearances across all competitions but starting only 17.<\/p>\n<p>Araujo has been the subject of transfer speculation for years, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/man-utd-chelsea-target-ends-speculation-signing-contract-barcelona-araujo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>emerging as a top target for Manchester United and Chelsea back in 2022<\/strong><\/a>. His first competitive game will be against European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on August 13.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/summer-transfer-window-2025-most-expensive-players-biggest-deals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus has been Frank\u2019s marquee signing so far<\/strong><\/a>, while Spurs have also confirmed the permanent signings of former loanees Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/romano-tottenham-agreement-man-utd-target-three-details-final-stages-deal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha is expected to join on loan with an option to buy for around \u00a325million<\/strong><\/a>, having already completed a medical.<\/p>\n<p>Spurs\u2019 transfer business isn\u2019t expected to end there, with the club now linked with a surprise move for Araujo.<\/p>\n<p>According to Spanish outlet <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fichajes.net\/noticias\/ojo-club-premier-league-podria-lanzarse-ronald-araujo-20250801.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fichajes<\/a>, Spurs \u2018could make a move for Araujo\u2019, with a summer transfer now considered possible.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s claimed the Uruguayan \u2018is going through a difficult time in his career, and his current situation hasn\u2019t gone unnoticed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/barcelona\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>\u2018, with Spurs reportedly keen to take advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Araujo is said to be \u2018no longer untouchable\u2019 due to \u2018raised doubts\u2019 over his recent performances.
