LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam has taken to social media to blast American Airlines after enduring a nightmare journey to her next destination just hours after meeting US President Donald Trump in the White House.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sorenstam<\/a>, 54, yesterday joined the likes of LIV Golf superstar Bryson DeChambeau<\/a> and WWE legend TrIple H in the White House for the signing of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two-time US Open champion DeChambeau, 31, gave a passionate speech<\/a> after being elected chairman of the council.<\/p>\n

Sorenstam, winner of 72 LPGA titles including 10 majors, then followed with a speech of her own, which you can watch in full below.<\/p>\n

“This is truly an honor,” said Sorenstam.<\/p>\n

“Sport has always been part of my life, and the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle cannot be any more important than nowadays. I can’t wait to get to work.”<\/p>\n

DeChambeau and Sorenstam are part of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition that also includes a number of other golfing legends such as Jack Nicklaus<\/a>, Gary Player<\/a> and Nelly Korda<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ice hockey legend and Dustin Johnson’s father-in-law Wayne Gretzky are also members of the council along with a number of NFL superstars such as Saquon Barkley, Tony Romo, Harrison Butker and Lawrence Taylor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But back to the top of the story, and Sorenstam was left fuming with American Airlines as she headed to her next destination from Washington.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Due to the airline’s fault, Sorenstam admitted she had to rebook her flight to the next day, and that also included a five-hour layover that saw her kicked out of her class. The airline also refused to cover her hotel or food.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sorenstam was fuming with American Airlines<\/p>\n

“I’m extremely disappointed in @AmericanAir in just one trip,” tweeted Sorenstam.<\/p>\n

“First you rebook me to the next day. Don’t cover hotel or food. I now have a 5 hour layover and been bumped out of my class.<\/p>\n

“This is not how you treat loyal platinum frequent fliers. #dobetter #angry.”<\/p>\n

Sorenstam finally got a reply<\/p>\n

Six hours later, Sorenstam took to X \/ Twitter to reveal the airline had been in touch to deal with her issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Appreciate @AmericanAir quick response and handling!” tweeted Sorenstam.\u00a0<\/p>\n
