Yep, it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikioasis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiki Oasis<\/a> time!<\/p>\n<p>But this year is special: the Polynesian pop festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary and going all out when it returns to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikioasis.com\/town-and-country\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Town and Country Resort<\/a>, Aug. 6-10.<\/p>\n<p>What started in 2000 as a grassroots effort to save a retro motel in Palm Springs has blossomed into the world\u2019s largest celebration of tiki culture, music, art, fashion and fun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the beginning, our aim was to craft an experience that would bring tiki lovers together,\u201d says co-founder Baby Doe. \u201cToday, we are proud that through Tiki Oasis, so many have discovered not just a great party and fun festival, but a sense of family and community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>San Diego\u2019s five-night, four-day bash kicks off Wednesday night with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikioasis.com\/catamaran-luau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luau<\/a> at the Catamaran Resort Hotel, featuring a Mai Tai and lei greeting, all-you-can-eat buffet, and a live performance by local group Pride of Polynesia.<\/p>\n<p>Known for its <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/playlist\/6OYTVSucxmrQ4MDfIa4Qtm?si=6c8428d288064ef7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eclectic music lineup<\/a> \u2014 from surf and lounge to rockabilly and mod soul \u2014 this year\u2019s Tiki Oasis will showcase more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikioasis.com\/music-and-mayhem-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30 bands<\/a>, including The Ghastly Ones, Tikiyaki Orchestra, The Blue Hawaiians, APE, The Bomboras, L\u2019Exotighost, and Martini Kings.<\/p>\n<p>Lenny Kaye \u2014 legendary guitarist of the Patti Smith Group and curator of the revered 1973 compilation Nuggets, which sparked a garage rock revival \u2014 will headline Sunday night. Billed as a Nuggets tribute concert, Kaye will be joined on stage by Mike Stax and The Loons, Johnny Echols (Love), Deke Dickerson, and Robert Lopez (aka El Vez).<\/p>\n<p>Kaye will also perform a DJ set earlier in the evening, joining more than 30 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikioasis.com\/djs-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DJs<\/a>, including Junior Francis, Lee Joseph, Tropicana Joe, Tony the Tyger, and Action Andy, who\u2019ll be spinning curated vinyl sets day and night, from vintage ska to rocksteady.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the music, there\u2019s truly something for everyone at Tiki Oasis.
