Arsenal are \u2018keeping a close eye\u2019 on Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz amid concerns they may miss out on top target Eberechi Eze.<\/p>\n

Arsenal have already signed<\/a><\/strong> Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera and Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer, and have identified Eze as their next top target.<\/p>\n

The Gunners have been in talks with Palace over a move for the England international amid conflicting reports over his \u00a368m release clause.<\/p>\n

It had been claimed that it was set to expire on Friday, but a report on Friday<\/a><\/strong> claimed it in fact\u00a0\u2018expires on August 15\u2019, the date of this season\u2019s first Premier League match between champions Liverpool and Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Palace don\u2019t want to sell the playmaker, but want at least \u00a335m up front for the playmaker if he is to leave for Arsenal this summer, which the Gunners aren\u2019t ready to pay.<\/p>\n

And in a further blow to Arsenal\u2019s chances, Mirror claim that Arsenal are \u2018concerned\u2019 by Liverpool\u2019s interest in Marc Guehi as it \u2018could scupper their move for Eze\u2019<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The report adds:<\/p>\n

\u2018Arsenal are expected to make a move for Eze once they have offloaded some players, with the England international said to be keen on a move to the Emirates. However, Liverpool are interested in Eze\u2019s Crystal Palace teammate Guehi and that could complicate the situation.<\/p>\n

\u2018Palace are unlikely to sanction the exits of two key players this summer, although Liverpool are currently focused on their attempts to sign striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With Mikel Arteta keen on adding at least one more forward to his ranks, Football Espana claim<\/a><\/strong> the Gunners are \u2018keeping a close eye on Diaz\u2019, who has been warned by new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso that he will have a \u2018secondary role\u2019 at the Bernabeu next season.<\/p>\n

The report states:<\/p>\n

\u2018Sources have indicated to Football Espa\u00f1a that three Saudi Arabian sides, namely Neom SC, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, are all interested in Brahim. Xabi Alonso has communicated to him that he will have a secondary role next season, and the trio are willing to put up \u20ac40m for the Morocco international.<\/p>\n

\u2018Interest from Fenerbahce has already been reported, while Arsenal and AC Milan are also keeping a close eye on the matter in case Brahim were to become available. At this stage there are no plans to pursue him though.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Diaz\u2019s teammate Rodrygo was also high on the agenda for Arsenal before they made their push for Eze, but reports suggest the Brazilian is now on the verge of a move to Liverpool<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Journalist Siro Lopez claims that Rodrygo has agreed personal terms with the Reds, writing: \u201cLiverpool have spoken to the entourage of Rodrygo, and the Real Madrid forward has approved an informal offer of personal terms.\u201d<\/p>\n

And DAVEOCKOP claim Liverpool want Rodrygo not just to secure a great signing but also in order to \u2018land a psychological blow to Real Madrid\u2019, with the Reds \u2018ready to mount a strong bid\u2019 for the winger who\u2019s thought to be valued by Los Blancos at \u20ac90m [\u00a378m].<\/p>\n

\u2018The Reds have identified Real Madrid\u2019s Rodrygo as a top target and are said to have already made contact with his representatives. Reports suggest the Reds are ready to mount a strong bid, viewing the Brazilian as an ideal fit for Arne Slot\u2019s system.<\/p>\n

\u2018What adds intrigue to the situation is that some in Spain believe Liverpool\u2019s pursuit of Rodrygo isn\u2019t just about filling a vacancy\u2014it\u2019s also about landing a psychological blow to Real Madrid.
