PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A suspect allegedly involved in the murder of a Phoenix woman is in custody after leading law enforcement on a chase south of the Valley on Friday morning.<\/p>\n
Police responded to the reported shooting just after 6 a.m. near 40th Street and Meadow Drive<\/a>, north of Bell Road. Officers at the scene found a woman, identified, as 45-year-old Alma Victoria Suchilt, who had been shot multiple times. <\/p>\n First responders rushed Suchilt to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was later pronounced dead, police confirmed. <\/p>\n Police say the suspect, 47-year-old Jonathan Llamas Cisneros, fled the scene and was tracked to Interstate 8 near Gila Bend. Authorities attempted to pull Cisneros over, but he fled the scene. After a brief pursuit, law enforcement took Cisneros into custody. <\/p>\n Evidence linking Cisneros to the murder was found when he was arrested, according to police. He was booked on charges of murder and felony flight.<\/p>\n Authorities are investigating the case as a domestic violence incident since Suchilt and Cisneros have a child together. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so sad for her family and for her daughter,\u201d a neighbor told Arizona\u2019s Family, wishing to remain anonymous.<\/p>\n The neighbor reported had reported the suspect multiple times for firing shots. Another neighbor said they were fighting constantly. <\/p>\n \u201cBack in May, I had reported to the police along with multiple other neighbors who had reported to the police that there were shootings into the air,\u201d the anonymous neighbor said. \u201cThe neighbor that lived behind him had also reported it and they have since moved because they were actually afraid of him.\u201d<\/p>\n Authorities say the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Maricopa County Sheriff\u2019s Office, U.S. Border Patrol and the Arizona Department of Transportation assisted with the investigation. <\/p>\n See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?
