With under 3 minutes of mock game play left, Geno Smith and the first-team came back in for a game-winning drive. Smith launched a deep throw to Phillip Dorsett, who came down with it in the end zone. Going for the two-point conversion, Smith ran it in to give the first-team the lead of 36-35.<\/p>\n
Aidan O’Connell and squad responded by driving down to the field to notch a field goal that retook a 38-36 lead.<\/p>\n
Cam Miller got in on the action in the final 20 seconds of the game driving the team downfield, but Carlson missed a final field goal after being perfect on the day.<\/p>\n
“This is awesome. So glad so many of you were here to share this day with us,” Head Coach Pete Carroll said while addressing fans at the end of the mock game. “It was a big day’s work.”<\/p>\n
