This collaboration integrates post-quantum cryptography (PQC) with Open RAN technology, aiming to secure communication over 5G networks against quantum threats. The joint solution is designed for the deployment of private 5G networks in various environments, including urban, transportation, and agricultural settings.

The solution combines Eridan’s 5G radios, which use Clean Signal Direct Polar Modulation technology, with Patero’s quantum-resistant cryptography. This collaboration aims to deliver a robust and energy-efficient solution for critical infrastructure operators. The integration is said to offer cryptographic agility and aligns with NIST-standardized quantum-resistant algorithms. Eridan CEO Omid Tahernia noted that their Open RAN technology, when combined with Patero’s encryption, can deliver higher data throughput with enhanced energy efficiency.

The integration of PQC with Open RAN technology aligns with U.S. federal initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity across critical sectors. The solution supports objectives outlined in Executive Order 14144, which directs actions on PQC to ensure protection against future compute architectures, and National Security Memorandum 10. This partnership aims to enable operators to build secure, efficient, and resilient networks, contributing to the broader adoption of quantum-safe communication technologies.

Read the full announcement here.

August 2, 2025

Patero, a post-quantum cryptography company, and Eridan, a company specializing in Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) technology,…

[22
745,158,67,132,68
0":"post-114369","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-computing","8":"tag-computing","9":"tag-technology","10":"tag-united-states","11":"tag-unitedstates","12":"tag-us
["GET
