ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – At Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, Kraken mascot Buoy stands at the top of the food chain. <\/p>\n
Not so much in the state of Alaska. <\/p>\n
In a video posted to the troll\u2019s social page, Buoy, along with Kraken forward John Hayden, were fly fishing in partnership with Bristol Bay Native Corporation near Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park. <\/p>\n
Sometime later, a brown bear is seen coming out of the tree line. The bear is later seen growling and charging at the group before turning away from the group. <\/p>\n

\u201cI want to blame it on buoy. They were pretty interested in his whole look,\u201d Hayden says in the post. \u201cWe got out of it ok but it was a close call.\u201d <\/p>\n
the incident occurred while members of the Seattle-based hockey team were in Anchorage for \u2018Kraken Week\u2019<\/a> back in June. The event saw the club take part in a variety of community outreach events in the area. <\/p>\n
The post added that neither bear nor troll were harmed in the encounter and that people should respect all wildlife in it\u2019s natural habitat. <\/p>\n
The post also comes after multiple bear attacks<\/a> have been reported in Southcentral. The latest came last week when an individual was taken to the hospital after being attacked by a brown bear in Eagle River. <\/p>\n
