{"id":114553,"date":"2025-08-03T02:53:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-03T02:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/114553\/"},"modified":"2025-08-03T02:53:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-03T02:53:09","slug":"five-month-long-construction-project-to-begin-at-oceanside-transit-center-nbc-7-san-diego","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/114553\/","title":{"rendered":"Five-month long construction project to begin at Oceanside Transit Center \u2013 NBC 7 San Diego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Construction will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 4, for the <a href=\"https:\/\/gonctd.com\/OTcrosswalk\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/gonctd.com\/OTcrosswalk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oceanside Transit Center Pedestrian Crossing Extension<\/a> project.<\/p>\n<p>According to the North County Transit website, the majority of the work will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Friday. Occasionally, some work will happen during the day, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The project aims to reduce the length of time it takes to walk to the COASTER platform from the Oceanside Transit Center parking lot,&#8221; according to NCTD. This includes &#8220;modifications to the ADA ramps, installation of pedestrian gates on either side of the crossing, and improved safety measures.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Residents in Oceanside can expect loud equipment noise, including the backup alarms and bright lights during overnight construction work. The contractor will aim lights as necessary to complete their work while not directing excessive lights towards adjacent homes, per their website.  <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Attention Oceanside neighbors: On August 4 at 9 p.m. crews will begin overnight construction work at the south end of the Oceanside Transit Center.<br \/>There may be loud equipment noise and bright light during this time.
