PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A man is fighting for his life after being shot in south Phoenix Saturday night. <\/p>\n

Phoenix police responded to the area of 51st Avenue and Baseline Road<\/a> for reports of a fight around 8 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. Police say they detained another man at the scene. <\/p>\n

The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. His identity has not been released.<\/p>\n

The area is expected to be closed off for several hours. Detectives are still working to determine what led up to this shooting. <\/p>\n
