The Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> signed veteran cornerback Levi Wallace, the team announced Saturday.<\/p>\n

In a corresponding move, the team waived rookie defensive back Aydan White.<\/p>\n

Wallace’s signing comes not long after the team lost CB Montaric Brown for the remainder of training camp<\/a> due to a lower-body injury sustained early in camp.<\/p>\n

Wallace, entering his eighth year in the NFL after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills<\/a>, most recently played for the Denver Broncos<\/a>. After Wallace’s four-year stint with the Bills (2018-21), he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> (2022-23) and the Denver Broncos (2024).<\/p>\n

In his career, Wallace has played in 96 games, starting 72. The majority of his starts came as a member of the Bills. Wallace started and played in 52 games for the AFC East team. In his career, Wallace has totaled 333 tackles (256 solos), 56 pass breakups and 12 interceptions.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville’s cornerback depth is still taking shape. The team has solidified starters Tyson Campbell<\/a> and Jourdan Lewis at outside and nickel corner, respectively. The team’s starter opposite Campbell has not been made immediately obvious, however, with second-year corner Jarrian Jones the favorite.<\/p>\n

However, the team’s plans could shift with Wallace’s signing, giving a bit of breathing room in the event Jacksonville doesn’t want to utilize rookie Travis Hunter as the team’s starting corner opposite Campbell.<\/p>\n

Hunter is cross-training the receiver and corner position, and is expected to play both roles for Jacksonville this year after doing the same at Colorado over the last couple of years before being picked by the Jaguars<\/a> will the second-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville will continue evaluating its defensive backs room over the coming weeks, with its first extensive look at players against another team coming later this week on Aug. 9 when the team takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers for preseason Week 1.<\/p>\n
