After creating two more additions to The Big Bang Theory universe, Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Lorre has a new sitcom on Netflix: Leanne<\/a>. The filmmaker co-created the show with Susan McMartin and Leanne Morgan, and it premiered on the streaming platform on Jul. 31. Shortly after its release, audiences gave Leanne an exciting, near-perfect 96% approval score<\/strong> on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, marking a thrilling start for the new sitcom.<\/p>\n The enthusiastic 96% response comes from over 100 ratings<\/strong>, although it’s still in its early days. Among the subscribers’ opinions, the series is “so funny” and features a great cast and is well-written.<\/p>\n One person admitted “the first episode doesn\u2019t land as well, but as the cast gels it gets better. Leanne is a hoot and I hope the show is renewed for more seasons!” A different fan compared it to the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond<\/a>, and noted no other comedy was as funny as that show until Leanne. <\/p>\n A different user wrote, “I am so thrilled to see a show that is entertaining and a little spicy without preaching to the viewer about politics.
