{"id":116091,"date":"2025-08-03T17:06:29","date_gmt":"2025-08-03T17:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/116091\/"},"modified":"2025-08-03T17:06:29","modified_gmt":"2025-08-03T17:06:29","slug":"houston-weather-today-sunday-august-3-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/116091\/","title":{"rendered":"Houston weather today: Sunday, August 3, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\"><strong>HOUSTON<\/strong> &#8211; Expect another round of storms Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/44C5214A077A56323BDD033BFBB8452A.jpg\" alt=\"Houston weather: Scattered storms, slight cooldown continues\" class=\"sr-only\" data-v-57dc2675=\"\"\/>   Afternoon rain   <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">With warm air and plenty of moisture in place, we do expect some scattered afternoon storms Sunday and Monday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">Complicating the forecast is a jetstream currently running north to south across our area.\u00a0This can sometimes lead to some stronger storms, but our computer models are mixed on that.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/img_2265_720.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">The bottom line is to stay weather-aware and to check in with your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=FOX+26+weather+app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">FOX 26 Weather app<\/a> before you head outdoors.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Hotter weather on the way <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/img_2263_720.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">After two more days of some rocky afternoon storms, we should settle into a hotter pattern for much of next week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">Now, there will be a chance of some late afternoon thunderstorms, but we\u2019ll have more sunshine and hotter high temperatures with lots of upper 90s common across the area Tuesday through Friday.<\/p>\n<p> Watching the tropics <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">We don\u2019t see threats to the Texas coastline from the tropics anytime soon, but action elsewhere does look like it\u2019s going to pick up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">An area of low pressure off the East Coast of the United States could strengthen and become a tropical system over the next one to two days, and another tropical wave in the Atlantic could strengthen later this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">Neither is a concern for us right now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"group-source-paragraph\" data-v-4fbf7207=\"\"><b data-v-4fbf7207=\"\">The Source:<\/b> Your Gulf Coast Weather Authority<\/p>\n<p>    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/tag\/weather\/weather-forecast\" class=\"tags-tag\" data-v-bd34935e=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Weather Forecast<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/tag\/us\/tx\/houston\" class=\"tags-tag\" data-v-bd34935e=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Houston<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/tag\/weather\" class=\"tags-tag\" data-v-bd34935e=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Weather<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"HOUSTON &#8211; Expect another round of storms Sunday afternoon.
