Fit is<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/honesthelabel\/\" target=\"_blank\"> @honesthelabel<\/a> Specs are<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lespecs\/\" target=\"_blank\"> @lespecs<\/a>,\u201d she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Here are her diet and fitness habits.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth has a trick for avoiding junk food. \u201cPeople ask me how I stay thin, and I\u2019m like, \u2018When you go to the grocery store, buy more bananas than cookies,\u2019 \u201d she told <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Women\u2019s Health<\/a>. When there is junk around, she hides it. \u201c[The freezer] is where my Girl Scout cookies are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Elizabeth wants to lose weight fast, she ditches all white products. \u201cIt\u2019s essentially a gluten-free diet: no rice, no bread, no pasta,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019ll eat tons of protein and veggies. Also, I just drink water and tea. . .and alcohol,\u201d she told Women\u2019s Health. Numerous <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4055352\/\" target=\"_blank\">studies<\/a> have shown that various teas may boost your immune system, fight inflammation, and even prevent cancer and heart disease.<\/p>\n<p>Another trick Elizabeth has for eating less? She shares meals with her husband. \u201cPortion control is a real problem,\u201d she told Women\u2019s Health. \u201cMy husband and I always split one appetizer and one entree. I\u2019m sure waiters hate us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth is all about exercise. \u201cFitness is a part of life. It should be a part of everyone\u2019s daily routine. I do try to workout and be a fit person,\u201d Banks told <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accessonline.com\/articles\/healthy-hollywood-get-movin-monday-elizabeth-banks-shape-up-secrets-113306\" target=\"_blank\">Healthy Hollywood<\/a>. \u201cI do a lot of resistance training and little bit of weight training. I don\u2019t do a ton of cardio because I try and mix the cardio into the actual workout, just like they do here in CrossFit.\u201d According to the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/healthy-lifestyle\/fitness\/in-depth\/strength-training\/art-20046670\" target=\"_blank\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and build lean muscle mass, and increase calorie burn. Strength training may also help you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop strong bones<\/li>\n<li>Manage your weight<\/li>\n<li>Enhance your quality of life<\/li>\n<li>Manage chronic conditions<\/li>\n<li>Sharpen your thinking skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Elizabeth strives to be strong, not thin. \u201cIt\u2019s all about keeping the core strong.
