\n\tRefresh for latest\u2026: <\/strong>There were a lot of moving parts at the global and international box office<\/a> this weekend which was led for the studios by the sophomore frame of Marvel\/Disney\u2019s The Fantastic Four<\/a>: First Steps.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAmid a 54% dip from opening (-52% excluding China), the second overseas session added $39.6M<\/strong> for a running offshore cume of $170.3M <\/strong>and $368.7M<\/strong> worldwide. While domestic and international were essentially at parity in their weekend hauls, domestic is dominating the global total at 54%. As noted last weekend<\/a>, the split is usually in the other direction, but Asia is a drag here.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne Asian major that has been depressed for some time is seeing some specific bounce. Korea<\/strong> has a strong local title in the mix, but is also having a love affair with Brad Pitt<\/a>-starrer F1<\/a>. The Apple Original Films racing pic, via Warner Bros, continues to have mega-strong holds \u2014 increasing an incredible 36% in the 6th frame in the market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn total, the Joseph Kosinski-directed racing pic added $17.2M<\/strong> from 78 offshore markets this session (a 17% dip overall overseas versus last) to lift the overseas cume to $372.3M<\/strong>. Global is now $545.6M<\/strong> which makes F1 Brad Pitt\u2019s highest-grossing movie ever worldwide<\/strong>, surpassing World War Z.<\/p>\n

\n\tWe will get into more detail on the above, but here\u2019s a quick snapshot of the other major titles in play.<\/p>\n

\n\tNew this frame, and flying the flag for comedies, Paramount\u2019s The Naked Gun<\/a> debuted to $11.5M<\/strong> from 46 early opening markets. This is 44% above Game Night and 36% over The Heat. The launch reps 73% of the international footprint,\u00a0with 15 markets still to go including France, Brazil Australia and Spain.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Top 5 launches were the UK<\/strong> ($2.3M), Germany<\/strong> ($2.3M), Mexico<\/strong> ($674K), Netherlands<\/strong> ($590K) and Austria<\/strong> ($430K).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\/DreamWorks Animation\u2019s The Bad Guys 2<\/a>, after debuting in just three overseas markets last weekend<\/a>, expanded to 58 in this session. The frame was good for $16.3M<\/strong> which lifts the early overseas cume to $22.3M<\/strong>, and with domestic\u2019s bow, the running global total is $44.5M<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tNote that major markets still to come include Brazil, China, Italy, Germany and Australia, as well as parts of Latin America and Asia.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\/Amblin\u2019s Jurassic World Rebirth<\/a>, meanwhile, devoured another $16.2M<\/strong> in the 5th overseas frame; 35% off last weekend. That takes the offshore cume to $448.4M<\/strong> and global to $766M<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner\/DC\u2019s Superman<\/a>, for its part, added $11.2M<\/strong> from 78 offshore markets for an overseas cume of $235M<\/strong> and $551.2M<\/strong> global.\u00a0<\/p>\n
