The San Diego County Sheriff\u2019s Department is looking for a man in his mid-20s in connection with a sexual battery incident in Rancho San Diego on July 30.<\/p>\n
Described as a white male, approximately five feet six inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds with \u201cshort, shaggy medium brown hair,\u201d the suspect was wearing a dark-colored shirt and black flip-flop sandals when the attack occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n
According to the sheriff\u2019s department, the man grabbed a 24-year-old woman from behind while she was jogging on Hilton Head Road near Emerald Point Lane, putting his left arm \u201caround the female\u2019s neck and chest to restrain her.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspect proceeded to sexually batter the female,\u201d the department\u2019s statement said. \u201cThe female screamed and was able to run away from the suspect.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the department\u2019s Sexual Assault Unit at (858) 285-6112 or after hours at (858) 868-3200.<\/p>\n
