Retired NFL hall-of-famer Terrell Owens also commented on the post, saying \u201cYou got this \u270a\ud83c\udffe&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_16dbupz-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_vpx7n8ko1\">The Valkyries officially <a class=\"tagStyle_16dbupz-o_O-style_bcuhf\" href=\"https:\/\/valkyries.wnba.com\/news\/kayla-thornton-undergoes-succesful-knee-surgery-20250725\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">announced<\/a> Thornton would be out for the season on July 25 with the following press release:<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_16dbupz-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_586qhznqv\">&#8220;Golden State Valkyries forward Kayla Thornton, who suffered an injury to her right knee earlier this week in practice, underwent a successful surgery earlier on Friday in San Francisco. Thornton will be out for the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season and will begin the rehabilitation process immediately.&#8221; \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_16dbupz-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_tjxo79yy0\">In Thornton\u2019s absence, players like Rupert and Temi Fagbenle have stepped up to bring size to a winning Golden State roster.\u00a0 After facing the Aces in Las Vegas, Golden State will head back home to the Bay Area to face the Aces again at home.
