SAN ANTONIO – A woman is in critical condition after she was shot while driving late Wednesday night on the West Side.<\/p>\n
The shooting took place just before midnight Wednesday at Southwest Loop 410 near Marbach Road. <\/p>\n
As officers arrived, they discovered the 23-year-old woman, who had been struck by gunfire while driving through a turnaround beneath the highway.<\/p>\n
According to police, the woman was shot in the ribcage from someone in a white truck, who fired several shots at her vehicle. After being hit, she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a pole in a McDonald\u2019s parking lot.<\/p>\n
Emergency responders found the woman unresponsive at the scene. She was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition as of early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
Authorities have not released any information about the suspect or a possible vehicle connected to the shooting. <\/p>\n
