Quince\u2019s new valuation is more than double what it was earlier this year, sources told Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/iconiq-capital\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Iconiq Capital<\/a> reportedly led Quince\u2019s latest financing.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2018, Quince started out selling clothes, touting a sustainable model and shipping directly from factories. Over time, it expanded its offerings and now sells luggage, furniture and home goods as well.<\/p>\n<p>The direct-to-consumer darling has seen its popularity surge in recent years, thanks in part to going viral on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/instagram\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/tiktok\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TikTok<\/a>. The company\u2019s stylish and relatively affordable clothing in particular has fans among Gen Z and millennial shoppers. For example, it markets cashmere sweaters for $50 \u2014 a significantly lower price point than other retailers such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/j-crew\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">J. Crew<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While some direct-to-consumer space players have struggled as of late, Quince is a bright spot in the industry with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/bloomberg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg<\/a> reporting that \u201cinvestors were impressed by the company\u2019s fast-growing revenue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Per Crunchbase data, with this deal, Quince has raised a total of $461.5 million. Other backers include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/insight-partners\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Insight Partners<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/wellington-management\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Wellington Management<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/founders-fund\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Founders Fund<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/8vc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> 8VC<\/a> <a href=\"#footnote-1-92080\" id=\"note-1-92080\" rel=\"footnote\">1<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/fj-labs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FJ Labs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Quince\u2019s latest round alone matches the $200 million in venture funding that fashion and apparel startups overall have raised so far this year, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/discover\/saved\/venture-funding-to-fashion-and-apparel\/500fea6b-07af-4b57-83c6-2906c9137099\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crunchbase data<\/a>.
